To support a healthy immune system, I make a roll-on blend of Thieves and Oregano essential oils and apply it to the bottoms of our feet. Sometimes I will add Copaiba as well because it boosts other oils. Thieves and Oregano are considered ‘hot’ oils, so I dilute them with a carrier oil in a roll-on bottle. We roll this blend on our feet at night, but while traveling (a couple days before, during, and a couple days after), or when others in our household are sick, we’ll apply morning and night.

Today, I’m spotlighting Lemon Essential Oil! Did you know that it takes 75 lemons to make a 15ml bottle of Lemon?! I’ve been wanting to make my own fancy facial toner that’s custom for my skin, and so I’ve been experimenting… I’m excited to say that I’ve found a combination that I love! So obviously, I have to share it with you. *grin*
I’ve tried a few different concoctions, and found that my skin likes a combination of witch hazel and rose water best. This is a concoction I made for Koda, my pupdog! I call it the “Puppy Pacifier” and have used it to help her relieve stress of all kinds. Though she mainly has issues during storms, she sometimes has an issue with separation and this just chills her out so she’s not anxious and trying to follow us out of the door. I keep a small batch on hand so I’m not scrambling in the moment. Read More Natural Remedy to Relieve Stress for Dogs

I may be in love with a green, (sometimes limp) leafy vegetable. In love with Kale Chips that is… I’ve been a fan of Kale Chips since I first tried them a year or so ago in a restaurant… but for whatever reason, I didn’t try making them myself until this past weekend. *head palm* They are ridiculously simple to make, and so much cheaper to make for yourself! Also, homemade Kale Chips taste better than ones you buy pre-packaged in a health food store!
